/ Payments

Your customers pay you. Not us.

Card payments go straight into your own Stripe, Square or SumUp account. Bank transfer, cash and paying on account sit alongside, in one set of takings.

/ The problem

You want to know where your money is and when it lands. Meanwhile your regulars pay by bank transfer, the corporate client wants an invoice, and the takings live in three places.

/ How it works

Your own card payment account

Connect your own Stripe account, or set one up through Myobos. Stripe asks for your business and bank details on its own pages. Square and SumUp work too. Your Stripe dashboard is available inside the admin.

Deposits, checkout and invoices

Take deposits when people book, payment at checkout in your shop, and invoices with a pay link. Refunds go back from the admin.

Every other way to pay

Under Ways customers can pay, offer bank transfer (your details are shown to the customer), cash or card in person, and paying on account.

Discount codes

Create codes for a first visit, a quiet Tuesday or a loyal regular. Customers enter them when they book or buy.

Takings and VAT

See takings reports for any period and export them as CSV for your accountant. Set your VAT settings once. Add Xero & QuickBooks to send each day's takings across automatically.

A fee you can see

If your plan takes card payments through Myobos, 0.5% comes off each card payment. Busier businesses get money off their plan.

What your customer sees

A secure checkout page from Stripe, Square or SumUp, with your business name. Or your bank details, if they'd rather transfer.

What you see

Every payment, refund and outstanding invoice in your takings, whichever way it was paid. The notification bell tells you when money comes in.

/ Trades that use it most

Every trade takes payments. Builders send stage invoices with a pay link. Salons and barbers take deposits. Taxi firms invoice corporate accounts monthly. Clinics and personal trainers sell packs paid up front.

/ Questions

Questions

Where does the money go?

Into your own Stripe, Square or SumUp account. Myobos doesn't hold it.

What does Myobos charge on payments?

If your plan takes card payments through Myobos, a 0.5% fee comes off each card payment. Busier businesses get money off their plan. Your card provider's own fees are separate.

Do I have to take cards?

No. You can take only bank transfer, cash or card in person, and payment on account.

Can I refund a customer?

Yes, from the admin. The refund goes back through the same card provider.

Will my accountant get what they need?

Takings reports export as CSV, with your VAT settings applied. The Xero & QuickBooks add-on sends each day's takings automatically.
