/ Barbers

Every chair booked. Every fade paid for.

Clients book the barber they want at a time that's really free. A deposit stops the no-shows, and chair rent works itself out at the end of the month.

Try Harbour & Co Barbers, a made-up shop running on Myobos. Book a skin fade, then change its price in the admin and watch the site update.

/ A day with Myobos

  1. 8.45am

You open the admin with a coffee. Today's chairs are full, and the bell shows two bookings that came in overnight.

  2. 11.20am

The phone doesn't ring mid-fade. A client books a cut and beard with Dan on your website instead, and pays a deposit.

  3. 2.00pm

A regular buys the beard oil you used on him. Stock goes down by one, so you know what's left.

  4. 4.30pm

Someone moves Saturday to Friday themselves, inside your rules. The diary updates and the Saturday slot goes back on sale.

  5. End of the month

Each barber's statement is ready: commission for one, chair rent for another, wages for the junior.

/ What matters most for barbers

Booking by barber

Each barber has their own hours, breaks and services. Clients pick who they want, or the first free chair.

Deposits against no-shows

Ask for a deposit on a skin fade. If they don't turn up, the chair still earned something.

Products and subscriptions

The shop is switched on from day one. Sell pomade and beard oil on your site, and let regulars subscribe.

Barber pay

Commission, chair rent or employed. Myobos works out statements and self-billed invoices for each barber.

Reminders

A reminder email goes out before every cut, so fewer chairs sit empty.

Client records

Every client has one record with their past visits, notes and preferences. Whether it was a number two or a three last time, the answer is on screen.

Discount codes

Run a first-cut offer or a quiet-Tuesday code. Clients enter it when they book.

Your own site and address

Your shop's site goes up on a free myobos.com address or your own domain, built from the wording, services and photos you already have.

/ Your words

Your admin talks like a barbershop, not a spa.

Your words

Team: barbers
Customers: clients
What's booked: services
The place: shop

Questions

Can I take deposits for no-shows?

Yes. Set a deposit in your booking rules and clients pay it on Stripe's secure page when they book. Your free-cancellation cut-off decides when it can still be moved.

I've got several barbers with their own hours. Does that work?

Yes. Each barber gets their own working week, breaks, time off and services. Clients only see times when that barber is in.

How does pay work for self-employed chair renters?

Set each barber's arrangement to chair rent, commission or employed. Myobos works out their statement and produces self-billed invoices for chair renters.

Can each barber see their own bookings?

Yes. Each one signs in to their own portal to see their bookings, takings and statements.

Do I need a new website?

No. We build your Myobos site from your current one, and you can keep your domain.
