Estimates approved online. CIS done before Sunday.

Clients approve your estimate from their phone. Stage invoices, variations and retentions follow the job, and CIS deductions and returns are worked out for you.

Try Oakbeam Builders, a made-up firm running on Myobos. Approve an estimate as the client, then raise the first stage invoice in the admin.

  1. 7.00am

A quote request came in through your website overnight. It's waiting as a draft estimate, with the customer's details filled in.

  2. 8.30am

On site, the lads open the new RAMS in their portal and sign it before work starts.

  3. 12.30pm

The kitchen client approves your estimate from her phone over lunch. The job page is ready for her to follow.

  4. 3.00pm

She asks for an extra socket run. You add it as a variation, priced, on the job.

  5. Month end

CIS deductions for your subcontractors are worked out, and the monthly CIS return and statements are ready.

/ What matters most for builders and trades

Estimates and quote requests

Line-by-line estimates the client approves online. A form on your site turns enquiries into draft estimates.

Job pages

Each job has a page with dates, progress and changes for the client to follow.

Stage invoices and retentions

Invoice by stage, then the final, then the retention. Take a deposit when the job is booked. Job costing shows what each job is really making.

CIS and the reverse charge

Deductions worked out for subcontractors you pay and shown on invoices to contractors who pay you, with the VAT domestic reverse charge where it applies.

Timesheets and RAMS

Your team logs timesheets against jobs. RAMS are versioned and signed off in the team portal.

Getting paid

Invoices go out with a pay link into your own Stripe account, or the client pays by bank transfer. Corporate and repeat clients can pay on account.

Subcontractors

Add subcontractors alongside your team. Their costs and CIS deductions sit against each job, ready for the monthly return.

/ Your words

Your admin talks about jobs, visits and the yard, not appointments.

/ Questions

Questions

Does it handle CIS deductions and returns?

Yes. It works out deductions for subcontractors you pay, shows them on invoices to contractors who pay you, and prepares the monthly CIS return and statements.

What about reverse charge VAT?

Invoices to contractors carry the domestic reverse charge VAT wording where it applies.

Can I hold retentions?

Yes. Raise stage invoices as the job goes, a final invoice at the end, and a retention invoice when it falls due.

Can clients see how the job is going?

Yes. Each job has a page with dates, progress and changes for the client to follow.

Do I still get a website?

Yes. Your site shows your work and services, with a quote request form that feeds straight into your estimates.
