Your diary knows how long a full colour takes.

Clients book the stylist they want, for the right length of appointment. Consultations come first, products sell from your site, and every stylist's pay is worked out.

Try Willow Hair Studio, a made-up salon running on Myobos. Book highlights, then open the admin and change the appointment length.

/ A day with Myobos

  1. 9.00am

A new client booked a consultation online last night. It's in Priya's column, before her full colour on Saturday.

  2. 10.30am

A three-hour colour sits in the diary as three hours. Nobody tries to squeeze a blow-dry into the middle of it.

  3. 1.15pm

A client changes her cut and finish to next week herself. She's inside your cut-off, so she doesn't need to ring.

  4. 4.00pm

Someone orders the shampoo they always buy, from your site, while you're finishing a blow-dry.

  5. Month end

Statements are ready for each stylist: chair rent for two, commission for the rest.

Appointments the right length

Each service has its own length, and buffers keep a gap where you need one. Long colour appointments stay in one piece.

Stylist choice

Each stylist has their own hours and the services they do. Clients choose who they want, or the first free stylist.

Consultations first

Consultation is one of your starting services. Book it before the colour, and switch on client forms if you want answers in writing.

Retail and subscriptions

The shop is on from day one. Sell the products you use, and let regulars subscribe to the ones they always buy.

Stylist pay

Commission, chair rent or employed. Myobos works out statements and self-billed invoices for each stylist.

Client records and photos

Each client's past colours, notes and preferences sit on one record. Add before-and-after photos with their consent; they stay off your website unless the client agrees.

Reminders

A reminder email goes out before every appointment, so a three-hour colour slot doesn't sit empty.

Questions

Can I book patch tests and consultations?

Yes. Consultation is a starting service, and you can add a patch test as a service of its own. Switch on client forms to collect answers before the appointment.

How does stylist pay work?

Set each stylist's arrangement to commission, chair rent or employed. Myobos works out statements and self-billed invoices for each one.

Can clients choose their stylist?

Yes. They pick a stylist, or the first free time with anyone who does that service.

Can I take a deposit for long colour appointments?

Yes. Set a deposit in your booking rules and clients pay it when they book.
